LEADERSHIP IN ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN

What is LEED?

LEED is the industry’s most used green building project rating system. The LEED Rating System provides a proven tool for project teams to design and construct buildings that maximize efficiency and occupant health, reduce waste and negative environmental impacts, and decrease overall lifecycle costs. Below-slab vapor protection is a critical component to achieving these goals and Stego has been the trusted choice for many project teams endeavoring to certify projects under LEED.

Healthy Buildings Start with Stego

Stego-Wrap-for-Healthy-Buildings

Within the LEEDv4 BD&C Rating System, there are no specific credits that address below-slab vapor protection, but Stego products may contribute to the intent of some key credits dealing with energy efficiency and human health. Perhaps most notably, Stego Wrap is the first and only below-slab vapor barrier that provides a compliant HPD (chemical inventory to 1,000ppm) to directly contribute to the LEED credit for Material Ingredient Disclosure (MRc4).

Stego Industries is an industry leader in material transparency and providing solutions for the design and construction of healthy buildings.

Moreover, the Stego Wrap HPD may also contribute to the Material Transparency credit in the WELL Building Standard. The Stego Wrap HPD may also be useful as supplementary documentation for Living Building Challenge project requirements for Red List Free materials.

More information can also be found on Mindful Materials, HPD Repository, and Sustainable Minds Transparency Catalog.
