Pango Claw is a multi-layered tape that is used to seal Pango Wrap along its terminating edges (interior and perimeter) to the slab. Pango Claw allows wet concrete to cast into the textured top surface to form a mechanical bond/seal. Made from the same uniquely designed barrier technology as Pango Wrap, it is a physical termite barrier to subterranean termites and an ideal accessory for completing a fully intact, monolithic Pango Wrap installation.
Its many features include:
Adequately sealing the perimeter of a below-slab vapor barrier can be challenging. When taking into account that Pango Wrap is used in the dual role of both a vapor barrier and a physical termite barrier, achieving that seal becomes critical. Pango Claw can be a very effective, time-saving means to achieve the perimeter seal.
Pango Claw is one of several Pango Wrap accessories designed to address common installation details in a manner consistent with the installation standard ASTM E1643 and provide a continuous physical foundation termite barrier designed to keep subterranean termites from penetrating into the structure above.
