Vapor Barrier

Stego Wrap 20-Mil Vapor Barrier has an extremely low permeance which is below current industry standards for products of its kind. Our vapor barrier has a baseline water vapor permeance rating of 0.0071 perms and puncture resistance exceeding 3500 grams, making it a Class A product per ASTM E1745. After being conditioned to cycles of wetting and drying, heat, low temperature, and soil organisms exposure, tests on permeance ranged from 0.0077 perms to 0.0088 perms. The 20-mil barrier provides control against water vapor and soil gases.

Since this product is not made with recycled materials and instead uses prime, virgin resins, the vapor barrier will greatly resist degradation. The product is engineered to provide superior strength and durability, never flaking and resisting tears, snags, punctures, and cracks.

Stego also offers the accessories needed for an ASTM E1643-compliant installation, which have been engineered for our Stego Wrap line: Stego Tape, Stego Mastic, Stego Crete Claw® Tape and StegoTack® Tape. Using these products enables an efficient installation, saving time and resources while maintaining the integrity of the vapor barrier system.
