Long-term building performance starts below the slab—especially in regions like Florida, where moisture and termite exposure can impact the durability of the structure. At a new elementary school project along Florida's Gulf Coast,  the project team needed a below-slab solution that could address both of these concerns from the ground up. 

Pango Wrap Termite/Vapor Barrier was selected to help protect the structure against below-slab moisture vapor and subterranean termites, with material shipping directly to the jobsite to support installation efficiency.

Installation plays a key role alongside product performance when it comes to termite and moisture protection. To help maintain continuity across the installation, the project team used Pango Wrap, along with Pango Tape and Pango Bond to support proper detailing at seams, overlaps, penetrations, and other critical areas. 

By choosing a dual-purpose termite and vapor barrier product, the project team was able to address two important below-slab protection needs with one integrated solution. For a large school footprint in Florida, Pango Wrap provided a practical, high-performance approach to helping safeguard the building from the ground up.
