PHILADELPHIA - Stego Industries, the industry leader in below-slab moisture vapor protection, is proud to once again be leading the discussion about innovations in sustainable building at the USGBC's GREENBUILD Expo 2013, Nov. 20-22 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia (BOOTH #3648).
The San Clemente, Calif., based company has led the concrete construction industry in developing new ways to increase energy efficiency in buildings by protecting the building envelope from the diffusion of moisture vapor through the a building foundation's concrete slab, thereby reducing relative humidity in buildings and saving on energy costs. Its signature product, STEGO WRAP VAPOR BARRIER, also protects against the diffusion of soil gases and contaminants, improving a building's indoor air quality, which has been proven to improve building occupants' long-term health and productivity.
"Green building and sustainability are not marketing strategies for us," said Stego Executive Green Team Leader Tom Marks, who will represent Stego at the show. "Since our company's inception, Stego has put its money where its mouth is on sustainability issues in recognition of our industry's future." At GREENBUILD 2012 in San Francisco, Stego was proud to take part in unveiling the Health Product Declaration collaborative, or HPD, as an original member of the program's pilot project to identify harmful core components in all building materials.
